"Always A Good Trip"
"This was our 4th year in Sea Pines; we always enjoy it. This townhome comes with everything you need. The only downside this year is CSB was a lot more crowded...the unforgotten coast is becoming not so unforgotten." — Patricia Rinker Jul 14, 2018

"Better than we expected!"
"This was our first time to the Cape and absolutely LOVED it!
My wife and I began planning a family beach vacation a few months back which would be our 16-month old's first beach trip. We were trying to find an area where we could get away from it all, relax (as much as you can with a toddler), affordable, and not crowded. Growing up, we did the Gulf Shores, Destin and PCB trips, but they've become overcrowded for what we were looking for.
Cape San Blas came highly recommended to us from multiple friends. After lots of research, we came to the conclusion that this sounded like the perfect place for us to vacation. The Barrier Dunes community had lots of positive reviews and looked like the ideal place. It had the quiet beaches, the pools, the privacy, the "closeness" of everything within the community that we were looking for.
We found our little "home away from home", Sea Pines, which is nestled next to the largest pond within Barrier Dunes. Sea Pines had everything in it we needed–and more! It was a beautiful condo with great water views and was newly renovated. It was not your typical "beach decor" that you see in a lot of beach condos in other areas that don't look like it's been updated since the 90s. I liked their decor and style. The rooms were very nice and the mattresses were comfy.
The kitchen had everything we needed as far as pots and pans. They even had a baby gate which we used to keep our little one from going down the entry way stairwell. Haha I wish I had known they had one so we didn't have to bring our own. I'm sure like most new parents, we tend to over pack on first trips. They even had a beach cart which we used everyday, beach umbrellas, pool/beach toys and more.
When we booked this condo several months in advance, the owners were super responsive and helpful with answering any questions we had. I emailed them often and they were quick to reply and helped make us feel at ease. Stefanie was a lifesaver during our stay. We accidentally locked ourselves out one eve and we were rushing out the door to head to dinner. I called her and she swung by to unlock it for us by the time we returned.
The unit is tucked away in the far left corner and had great views of the pond. Our little one loved watching the turtles (probably as much as the beach). It was extremely quiet and only a 5-min walk to the beach.
We will definitely be back in an off-season. We came for the week around July 4th and it was a little crowded." — JT Hamman Jun 29, 2017
"nails sticking up and injured renters foot"
"The place was clean, in a good area, deck and stairs was unsafe .injured foot from nails on deck sticking up. my son cut his foot on stairs from nail raised up.This unit was not checked for safety." — JD Jarrard Jun 14, 2017
"Very clean, well equipped and updated furnishings."
"I would highly recommend this property. It was very clean, well equipped the furnishings are updated. The property is an end unit which made it very private. We plan to rent it again in the future." — Sean Kucala Nov 25, 2016
"Excellent Vacation Rental"
"Unit is very well-kept and has all the items needed for a nice and relaxing stay at Cape San Blas. Walk to beach in less than 2 minutes. Great sunset view from deck of master bedroom. Definitely coming back! Thanks for the hospitality." — Tony Giarrusso Oct 06, 2016
"So cute, large space for our family of four."
"The community was quiet and well landscaped. Our condo was very clean, decorated well and maintained nicely. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, cookware and gadgets. We eat almost all of our meals in so this is important to us. The grill was a bit of a hassle, but it all worked out. The location to the beach was great. The condo was on the end away from the courtyard and felt very private. Highly suggest this property." — Katrina C. null May 27, 2016
"AWESOME VACATION GET AWAY"
"We had never been to Cape San Blas, Florida before and had no idea what to expect. The beach & the Gulf were beautiful, clean and uncrowded. When people say Cape San Blas is not commercialized, they aren't kidding! If you are searching for peace, quiet & beauty, this is where you should head. The rental home is clean, comfortable and very nicely decorated. The two king sized beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept on and I used to travel a lot as a flight attendant. We plan to find out what brand the mattresses are! My husband and I have busy work schedules and we needed rest and relaxation, which is what we found. The home is dog friendly and our two basset hounds had a great time, as well. We saw many people enjoying the fishing and shell collecting from the beach. We highly recommend Cape San Blas and this home to anyone who is tired of the traffic, noise, pollution and concrete that are often a large part of our lives. We'd love to return in the fall, as well. Thank you!" — Susan A. Ristau Aug 07, 2015
"Perfect getaway "
"We loved it ! Cindy was great and responded to all of our emails quickly and professionally. She worked with us to make this one of our best vacations at such a short notice. The photos do not do justice, as we found everything we needed and more. The condo was beautifully decorated and equipped with everything imaginable. It was a quick walk to the beach and the people at Barrier Dunes were so friendly. I enjoyed the fact the bedrooms were upstairs away from the living room and kitchen so that my early rising husband did not disturb me while I was still sleeping. We will definitely be back !! " — Melissa Skinner Jul 25, 2015
"Wonderful escape to the cape!"
"My family enjoyed our stay. The rental is very well kept and modern. We would eagerly return. " — Jennifer Tillman Jul 18, 2015
"Great Family, Pet Friendly Vacation!"
"This was our first visit to Cape San Blas and we really enjoyed it! Cindy is easy to work with and responds to every email very quickly. The location of the condo is great; right beside the pond and a close walk to the beach. We loved the fact everything is pet friendly. " — Patricia Rinker Jul 12, 2015
"Our rating for this house would have been much higher had we not been falsely accused of breaking the bed frame. Upon arrival I walked around the house and took pictures of all the rooms to show our family. When we entering the master bedroom we noticed that the mattress had a huge dip in the middle. We just assumed it was an old mattress and left it at that. We would have never thought to look under the bed to see if it was broken? When we received our deposit back in the mail we were very upset to see that we only were refunded part of it. We contacted Happy Toes and sent them the photos from when we arrived showing the dip in the mattress and were told that we were still responsible. I would advise anybody staying here to report even the most minor issues even if you feel that they are unimportant. I have never given a bad review before and I hate to have to but I also do not appreciate being falsely accused." — Beth Blackwell Jun 11, 2015
"A Great & Much Needed Getaway!"
"This was our first visit to Cape San Blas and we definitely plan to return! The Sea Pines unit was clean, comfortable, and very well appointed for a vacation rental. We enjoyed the beautiful decor and readily made use of the beach cart, beach chairs and umbrella everyday. The outdoor hose was perfect for rinsing off sandy feet and paws and the private outdoor shower was very relaxing. Great views from every balcony in the unit! We loved having breakfast on the deck overlooking the lake and my dog also enjoyed watching the dragonflies, birds and turtles. The only issue was getting the WiFi in the unit to connect on my laptop, never could get it to work. However, my phone connected to the WiFi with no problems. Then again, it was a vacation, so being unplugged was a good way to achieve total relaxation. :-) The beach is wonderfully peaceful and the Barrier Dunes community is quiet and nicely maintained. Cindy was good to work with and we ended up extending our stay for two more nights. Hoping to return to CSB soon! :-)" — Christina Mueller Aug 17, 2014
"Best Family Vacay!"
"Sea Pines in Barrier Dunes is the perfect getaway! This was our first trip to Cape San Blas and it definitely won't be our last. The location of this condo is perfect. I like that it's an end unit which offers more privacy plus it is on the edge of the Barrier Dune property so it borders dunes and natural landscape. My kids loved the pond. We enjoyed our lunches on the back patio that overlooks the pond! The condo is clean and well stocked with everything that you need to make your vacation comfortable. The outdoor shower was perfect too for rinsing all the sand off after the beach :)
It's also close to Coneheads and we made nightly bike rides over for ice cream!
Already looking forward to the next trip!" — Jennifer wonn Jun 30, 2014
"Great family memories"
"We've stayed in Barrier Dunes previously, but this was our first stay at SeaPines. We loved the unit! The location was perfect for the kids to ride their bikes, for us to enjoy the master bedroom balcony and the wonders of the pond. The unit was decorated very nicely and had all the things we needed to enjoy our visit - kitchen was well stocked (I greatly appreciated all the food storage containers!), the linens were soft and clean and the beach items were put to good use. We will definitely stay at SeaPines during our next visit to the Cape. " — Julia and George Arce Oct 03, 2013
"...we loved Sea Pines...the condo was so clean and beautifully decorated.....we had everything we needed in the kitchen...which is important to us.....we were thrilled with the view from the back deck...the lake, though small, is so pretty......we look foward to coming back ASAP.....a special thanks to Cindy for her help and for making us feel so welcome.....BTW...the dogs enjoyed the condo, too......" — joanne stone Sep 18, 2013
"last minute labor day weekend"
"We loved sea pines unit. Although it was last minute trip, they were willing to work with you and be very nice about it. The unit was clean and roomy than what we expected. Will definitely come back. :)" — lisa jin young choi Aug 31, 2013
"Accommodations were more than adequate. Nice End unit with view of pond.
Map of development is out of date and incomplete.
It would be helpful to have areas such as pool(s) labeled and definitely Beach access points marked.
Need exercise facility.
Unit was acceptably furnished and provisioned. 3 of the 4 light bulbs were out in the Master Bath Vanity fixture. Existing bulbs were a collection of 60W and 75W. Maintenance brought 4 replacement 75W bulbs. I found 4 60W bulbs in pantry. Put those in and 2 went out. I do not believe I have seen 4 Bulb Bathroom Bracket lights that would take more than 60 W bulbs. I suspect fixture is bad or damaged from using bulbs higher wattage than rating. Could be a fire hazard. Bulb in Lamp @ Family room sofa out. Storage Room closet a mess. I re-organized as best as possible without more pegboard hooks.
Dry would not dry clothing. There was 1 inch of lint on lint screen when we first tried to use it.
You sent people to address the problems but it was disruptive noisy, time consuming, and the dryer was left out protruding into the hallway making it difficult to get by an d my wife and I both hit our arms on the doors multiple times resulting in contusions and abrasions from attempting to navigate the obstacles.
All could have, and should have, been avoided by proper attention by house cleaning and/or management.
I lost my cell phone. I was not carrying it with me as I had no signal, therefore, I suspect I lost it on the premises but could not find it. If it is found, please let me know.
In all the accommodations were good and the area is nice, the food was great and the weather was glorious. That buy far trumps any small annoying inconveniences.
We would come back and recommend the area and facilities.

"PERFECT property at Barrier Dunes in Cape San Blas!!!"
"Our stay at this property was by far one of the most incredible vacations we've ever had. We spent a relaxing trip swimming, playing with our dog in the ocean, which I must point out was clear, clean, a gorgeous aqua color and as warm as bath water, snorkeled in the bay and ocean, fished in both the freshwater pond and ocean, biked, ate at Coneheads directly across from the complex, picked up beautiful shells (full ones, not just broken pieces!) washed up on the shore, then laid on the beach under the stars and full moon by our campfire (built on the beach right by the water) talking until the wee hours of the morning. We started off the mornings enjoying coffee on the nicely sized deck overlooking the pond. We made a visit to state park, which is located just beyond the complex, then ended one of our nights with a hour and a half sunset horseback ride under the full moon. I'm pointing out all our activities, because frankly, I was worried we would be bored, considering the Cape isn't commercialized and isolated, but no way! It was just what we needed to actually unwind without all the hustle, bustle and noise of commercialized, overcrowded beaches. I'm glad this area has remained preserved! Now to the property....PERFECT! It is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and well stocked with anything you can possibly think of. There are even bikes and beach chairs, umbrella, kids' toys, etc. What a great surprise! There is a great view from every window in the unit, and the master bed is soooo comfy. We didn't use the second bedroom, but I imagine the other beds are just as nice. I have no desire to look elsewhere the next time we go, because it couldn't have been better. THIS is the unit we will reserve from now on! Don't bother looking elsewhere. You will be pleasantly surprised. The pictures don't reflect how nice it actually is. We can't wait to return!!!" — Melanie and Nathan Brumley Jun 19, 2013
"Really nice unit. Clean and comfortable. Pictures accurately depict the unit. Convenient to pool and beach. Cindy was easy to work with and helpful. Beach accessories provided were really nice. I would recommend this property to friends or relatives. Only negative was no seafood restaurants nearby. St. Joseph's State Park was really beautiful. Beaches were not crowded which was great." — jim norris Jun 15, 2013
"Perfect get away"
"We loved Cape San Blas - would definitely return. It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Seapines in Barrier Dunes was perfect for us. The most well stocked rental we've ever had - kitchen items, beach chairs, bikes, beach toys - it was all there. An easy walk to the beach. We loved the ease of leaving our chairs and toys on the beach as well. And who doesn't enjoy an outside shower! " — Elizabeth Newhoff Jun 10, 2013
"Peaceful & Relaxing!"
"Cape San Blas is a special place along the Forgotten Coast. Barrier Dunes is a lovely community with lush vegetation and boardwalks providing easy access to the large beach with powder white sand. Sea Pines is an end unit situated on a large pond stocked with small fish and turtles. This beautiful town home has a fresh beachy decor and was very clean and ready for visitors! The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pans and appliances. Cindy, the manager, was so helpful and quick to respond to my questions, which was greatly appreciated. If you want to be close to all the tourist destinations, then the Cape is not for you. However, if you love the beach, outdoor activities, nature, peace and quiet, then this is the perfect place for your next vacation! I highly recommend this town home and would definitely stay here again! :)" — Stephanie Ewald Apr 27, 2013
"Great getaway with nice amenities!"
"What a great rental property! My sister and I decided to come to the cape for a long weekend and found this little gem. The property was clean, well stocked, very spacious and nicely decorated. It is a private end unit with no neighbors to the right and it is just a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed dining and relaxing on the deck that overlooks the pond or watching the amazing sunsets from the master bedroom balcony. We're already planning our trip back here for next year." — Keri Schieber Oct 10, 2012
