"We had a wonderful friend / family vacation. We had many of our friends from out of town get a place in same development and then our family all stayed in this place. It was perfect! Kept us close enough to everyone to spend lots of time together, but still gave us a little space come night time! :) This place is extrememly roomy and we loved it!" — Joei Vogt Aug 28, 2019
"Wonderful place to stay!"
"Our family had a lovely stay at Endless Summer. Stephanie and Bob were great hosts. They were super quick to confirm our booking request and gave us a great overview of the property. The open floor plan in the kitchen/living room area was fantastic for our group of 10 family members. The couches are super comfy - perfect for talking and laughing after long days on the bay and the beautiful beach that is just steps away. We enjoyed using the new gas grill while watching the turtles in the pond. The elevator was great for moving luggage up the three stories. Kitchen is well stocked and roomy. There is a pool right outside the front door and another one overlooking the beach is just a short walk away. They even have plenty of beach chairs and boogie boards that can be used by guests. Thank you, Stephanie and Bob for everything! We had a great time and feel very lucky that we got to stay there." — Brandy Sullivan Jul 13, 2019
"We had an awesome time, the property fit our needs perfectly and being right across from the pool is a major bonus! Walk to the beach wasnt bad either!" — Christy Findley Jul 18, 2019
"Week of Paradise"
"The townhouse has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked and there's plenty of room. The small pool is only steps from the front door and the beach front pool and ocean is only a 2-3 minute walk. The whole complex is well maintained and convenient to anything on the cape. The only issue we had at all was the gas grill wasn't working. We contacted the owners late one afternoon and early the next morning they arrived with a new grill. We will be returning and renting from the same owners again." — Wilma Angel Jun 08, 2019
"A wonderful large condo for a great vacay.."
"This condo was great. The size was wonderful and the location within the complex was fantastic. The condo was very clean. There was enough clean towels for everyone. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and dinnerware so cooking meals in the condo for our large family was a breeze. I highly recommend this condo for families. We will definitely stay again in the future." — Shannon Aufdencamp Aug 31, 2018
"Cape San blas condo"
"We love the area but the condo had a broken bed and it took all week to fix." — carla mckee Jun 23, 2018
"Great place to stay"
"This is a large very comfortable condo with 5 bedrooms. Located close to one of the pools and a short walk to the beach.
The Cape is a wonderful area for a vacation.
If you you run into a problem or have a question, Debbie and Stephanie are quick to respond." — Tom Aitken Jun 16, 2018
"We loved this place. Plenty of room very clean. Short walk to beach. Would go back!!!" — Beth Allison Mar 31, 2018
"The property was outstanding and met our needs for space, location, and amenities perfectly."
"We had a great stay. The property was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The gulf was a short walk away and we enjoyed the pool across the street. We will definite look to return in the future." — Diane Kaiura Jul 28, 2017
"Clean and Spacious"
"This unit is right across from the small pool and short distance to the beach which makes it very convenient. Barrier Dunes is very relaxed, family friendly, and always makes for a good beach vacation without the high rises and crowds. I do have a couple of minor recommendations for the unit. There needs to be more towel hooks especially with that many people in the unit. The ones that are there are fairly unstable. One of the ones downstairs fell as soon as I hung one towel on it. The downstairs bathroom door needs attention. It sticks and can't be closed without effort. I really should have called early in the week about it. Otherwise the unit was clean and very spacious. The screened porch was great. The outdoor shower is fun. When we ran out of propane while cooking, another was delivered in 5 min. We had a great time there!!" — Barbara Lathrop Jul 08, 2017
"Great family home for all of us!"
"We had a great time and wonderful experience in this house. Even when the tropical storm hit, we had plenty to keep us busy in the house! Stefanie was a great help and very easy to contact when needed." — Danielle Robbins Jun 17, 2017
"Best Beach Vacation Ever!"
"Our family of 9 loved this home! Our group ranged in age from 12 to 72 years & everyone loved this large, clean home with plenty of space for everyone to have privacy when needed. It is quite large, laid out well & we loved how quiet the house is. Someone could be napping while someone else was cooking, watching tv or doing laundry since the house is well insulated & laid out so well. The elevator was a wonderful amenity for the grandparents with mobility problems. It was a bit tricky to figure out the first day, but once they did, they used it the entire week with no problem. This unit allows dogs but it is super clean with no evidence of pets being there in the past...which was a huge plus for us!
The family room is huge with 3 huge sofas & plenty of room for everyone to watch a movie together. The laundry room & kitchen are adjacent to the den & the kitchen is stocked with most everything you need to cook meals. We loved using the gas grill on the deck several times. Our kids loved feeding the many turtles right off of the den deck! The beds are mostly comfortable with plenty of linens provided. (Our one suggestion to the owners would be to consider a new mattress for the master (king) BR.)
The unit is located towards the back of Barrier Dunes with no view of the beach, but the unit is literally just 30 steps from the smaller pool. We loved being able to let the teenagers swim while we peeked out the window to check on them. It is only a 3 minute walk to the larger pool which overlooks the beach. Both pools & the nice tennis courts were clean & attractive as was the entire Barrier Dunes property. We loved this neighborhood & will definitely stay there again.
We found that working with Stefanie was a wonderful experience. She is very quick to reply to any and all questions and she provided numerous recommendations for bike rentals, restaurants, etc. She is a pleasure to work with and made our trip so easy and enjoyable. This was our first visit to Cape San Blas and it definitely won't be our last. The entire area is beautiful, the people are friendly and you could not ask for a more perfect beach retreat away from the business of PCB or the Destin area. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed beach trip then CSB is the perfect getaway. We enjoyed going into Port St Joe and Apalachicola when we needed groceries or wanted to enjoy a dinner out.
If you are looking for a large home for a large family or group, this is a perfect choice!" — Jennifer D Jun 03, 2017
"Wonderful experience with family"
"We brought our 3 daughters, husbands and grandchildren to Cape San Blas from Atlanta and Athens. We all had a wonderful time at the beach and pool. The living room was great for family gatherings and we almost finished a 1500 piece puzzle on the huge table. My only disappointment was that the two upstairs bedrooms had baths that were interior. The adjoining bedroom that would have created a Jack and Jill bathroom was locked off. That meant that 7 people (2 upstairs and 5 downstairs) had to share the downstairs bath and the couple in the 3rd bedroom upstairs had to walk downstairs in the middle of the night...a little dangerous on the slippery stairs. I would suggest that the room without connection to a bath be used for the owners storage instead of the adjoining bedroom. One bedroom had no closet because they were all locked off. There was no DVD player but we were able to hook up the Xbox that we brought and use it for movies. Definitely needed for tired kids at night. The elevator was a huge help in bringing things up to the 3rd floor bedrooms.
The location was fabulous across from the pool and the two decks with a view of the pond were well used. The beach at Cape San Blas is beautiful and even though busy, nothing like the crowded beaches of a high rise in Panama City. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked every night except for one when we enjoyed a delicious dinner at Provisions in Port St. Joe...highly recommend a stop there!!
Debbe and Stephanie were great to work with and we thank them and the owners for a memorable family vacation!!" — Pat Beckett May 27, 2017
"Great layout, plenty of room for all 11 of us and Debbe was very attentive and responded to anything we needed almost immediately. I would highly recommend this unit, the elevator was a Godsend since I have bad knees and walking up and down the three flights of steps to the master bedroom would have been rough.
The unit had everything one needs for a wonderful stay and everything worked well. Plenty of extra linen, pillows...even a couple of air mattresses (we didn't need) but available. Games, movies, puzzles...plenty to do for everyone. We had 11 in our party and everyone had their own bed, one of those a two year old. The turtles in the pond behind the unit were a hoot...ranging in size from tiny baby to grown adult. Kids loved them...and of course the turtles loved the kids feeding them.
We enjoyed our stay very much and the beach was lovely. We had a fire one of the nights we stayed...awesome. No moon that night so the stars were out in force...full view of the Milky Way. Once the sun went down the temperature was very cozy...we grilled brats, hot dogs and of course smores on the beach that night, a must do if staying on Cape San Blas." — Curtis Caito Jun 24, 2016
"We truly enjoyed our stay at Endless Summer! Debbe answered all our questions quickly and she was very flexible. This townhouse is a very good choice if you are looking for the space and privacy of a house, along with the amenities of the Barrier Dunes complex. The unit is nicer than the photos, with furnishings that are casual and comfortable and the beds are in great condition. Dining at the table on the screened in porch while listening to the fountains and occasionally watching the turtles was a peaceful, fun meal setting. We appreciated use of the beach gear, especially the chairs! The location across from the pool and tennis courts was convenient. Having two driveways means if you have multiple vehicles, it is easy to get in and out.
One of the high points of our trip was renting kayaks from Happy Ours; we saw some amazing wildlife, both big and small. Walking on the gorgeous secluded beach in the state park at sunset was truly special. Ask the ranger for a permit for your car and drive back to the furthest point where there is parking, take the trail over the dunes. We also enjoyed renting a pontoon boat and snorkeling, wading in Eagle Harbor and finding creatures, riding the waves in front of Barrier Dunes, and making s’mores using our own campfire on the beach. Our favorite seafood restaurant was Apalachicola’s Up the Creek Raw Bar. Shopping in that little fishing village is fun as well; it is worth the drive to go there. We really liked eating at Cone Heads too. Yes, the food is surprisingly good at Cone Heads, just like the sign out front states! We also enjoyed tennis on the Barrier Dunes courts, which seemed to be newly resurfaced and swimming in the two pools.
If you like to be close to nature in a very relaxed setting, this is it! It isn’t perfect though, no place is perfect. The clubhouse needs some maintenance. When the complex is full, like it was for our visit, the water pressure is an issue in the morning. Apparently the cape needs a new, larger water tower, the issue isn't specific to this unit. Also, there are occassional problems with the gate to the complex opening, even when the correct code is entered, so sometimes it just sits open.
We have stayed at Barrier Dunes four times and we will be back! It is a great choice. We also highly recommend Endless Summer. We had a great vacation and you will too!

"The property was fantastic! Open floor plan downstairs and ample sleeping space for at least 12. Although it has great location to the pool and tennis courts and is a short walk, I would have loved to be right on the beach. " — Margaret Hook Jun 21, 2015
"Absolutely Awesome !!!"
"Our family group ranged from 12 - 81 yrs. old. We had tons of room to spread out in this condo! The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, cutlery etc. The living room had very comfy furniture, with a wall unit had a big TV and cupboards stocked with puzzles, games, cards, books and a desk area for office set up (something for everyone). The beds were comfortable, the elevator was convenient, as well as having a separate thermostat on the main and upper floor for ultimate in guest comfort. Two decks (one open and one screened in) made eating breakfast on the deck so enjoyable. The pond turtles were fun to watch from the deck, too!
Debbie truly was the hostess with the mostess!! She really made our trip wonderful!
She made recommendations in advance (as well as some after meeting us when we arrived) for area attractions, a golf cart rental place (with permit that lets you drive on the beach down to the water), as well as helpful hints.
The white powdery sand was truly that, and with a rating of # 1 Dog Friendly Beach in the U.S.A. it was true to its rating! Friendly, responsible pet owners and their pets on leashes took strolls on the property grounds and beach. But it was well maintained and behaved, no loose pets running wild. Our two dogs truly loved it!
We had great fishing right off the beach (very early morning - a few shark even), but as soon as the sun came up, people hit the waves for a refreshing swim. In the evening, though we ourselves didn't get to do it, some people did have bonfires on the beach after sunset.
When we packed up to go, we all felt sorry to have to leave (and we had been there for 2 weeks).
The local charm of the people and small businesses on the Cape, were truly a joy! We loved the man with his homemade donut stand with his hours advertised as being open from "7:30 am - until I get tired, or until I run out of donuts".
A relaxing, enjoyable, true to nature vacation that we plan to make again soon!" — Katherine Pavey Mar 23, 2015
"Excellent for extended family"
"Our group ranged from 6 years old to 79 years young! All 9 of us had a great time with plenty of room to spread out from room to room or come together around the large dining table. The beach was beautiful and secluded and the rental had everything we needed. The elevator was perfect and made it possible for the oldest member of our family to be a part of everything. We are already planning our next trip!" — Mary Register Nov 26, 2014
"This was an awesome place. Very nice and convenient. I would highly recommend this place. It was great that it was pet friendly." — Rick Self Nov 24, 2013
"This place was amazing as well as Cape San Blas. We had a large group. We had space for everybody and didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The kitchen was well equipped to handle the larger group. After spending the day at the beach it was great having the pool outside our front door for late night swimming. It was just amazing and will come back." — Craig Varner Jul 26, 2014
